CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Last season, the men’s basketball teams at Virginia Tech and Virginia had losing records.
But ACC Network studio analyst Luke Hancock expects both squads to fare better this year.
The Hidden Valley High School graduate said the NCAA Tournament is a realistic goal for Hokies coach Mike Young and his squad.
“(There was) some unfortunate stuff with the players they acquired last year and trying to do more with less. I felt honestly Coach Young did a pretty good job with what he had. I think this year you see the investment that Virginia Tech has made in basketball because the talent level has made a big jump,” Hancock said in an interview Tuesday at ACC basketball media days at a Charlotte, N.C., hotel.
