A York County bridge that has been closed since June has reopened.
The Sherman Street bridge spans Interstate-83 and Mill Creek between Olive Street in Spring Garden Twp. and 10th Avenue in Springettsbury Twp.
“The bridge was closed last June so an additional span could be constructed on the existing 3-lane, 2-span bridge. The bridge was lengthened for the relocation of Mill Creek as part of the I-83 North York Widening initiative,” according to a news release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
PennDOT said the $10 million project also included the replacement of the nearby county-owned bridge carrying Eberts Lane over Mill Creek. That work was completed last year.
