LYNN, Mass. —
A fire at a Lynn residence on Friday left at least two people with serious injuries.
Crews responded to a home on Cooper Street around 2 p.m. for a report of a fire on the third floor.
According to the Lynn Fire Department, two victims were located on the third floor, with one unconscious and the other lethargic.
Both were rescued from the home and handed over to fire medics.
One victim was transported to Salem Hospital before being flown by helicopter to Mass General, while the other was flown directly into Boston via medical helicopter.
Officials say those victims are in serious condition.
Several ladder trucks could be seen working to extinguish hot spots.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
