MARION, Ill. (WSIL) -- The first floor of Deaconess Illinois Medical Center was evacuated due to a reported bomb threat on Friday, October 10, according to Deaconess Illinois.
Patients and staff have since been allowed to return to the area.
A representative with Deaconess Illinois said families and visitors are currently not allowed on the first floor as safety protocols are being followed.
The threat is not believed to be credible, and the medical center is working with law enforcement, the representative said.
Patients with scheduled appointments will be contacted about their care status.
