LUDLOW, Mass. (WWLP) - Ludlow Police are urging residents to lock their vehicle doors and take precautions to protect their property following a rise in motor vehicle break-ins and thefts.
The majority of these break-ins occur in vehicles that are left unlocked, and thieves often target cars where valuables are visible.
"A few easy, common-sense measures can make it far less likely that your vehicle will be broken into or stolen," said Acting Chief Michael Brennan. "We're asking the community take these steps so we can reduce crime in Ludlow."
Ludlow Police have increased patrols in areas where vehicle break-ins and thefts have been reported. They recommend several safety measures, including taking keys, locking doors, and parking in well-lit areas.
