RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Teachers at two Wake County Public School System schools now have several hundred dollars in their pockets so each can buy supplies and create a more positive learning environment.

Fashion store Altar'd State is opening its doors in North Hills soon. They donated $20,000 of AdoptAClassroom.org funding to Brooks Magnet Elementary School and Green Magnet Elementary School in a unique way to be welcomed to the neighborhood.

The entire student body of Brooks Magnet Elementary School assembled for the surprise Friday morning. The event was also livestreamed to Green Magnet Elementary School. Principals for both schools unveiled the donation.
