WARREN COUNTY, Iowa -- An Osceola man was injured Thursday after his car was stuck under a trailer following a crash on Interstate 35.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash occurred around 8 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-35 near mile marker 43. Authorities say a truck was in the right lane while pulling a flatbed trailer when a car traveling in the same direction at a high rate of speed allegedly failed to move to the left lane.

The car then struck the rear of the trailer and was lodged under the trailer during the collision. The truck pulled over to the side of the road, the car remained stuck under the trailer.

The driver of the car, 22-year-old Juan Perez, was air lifted to a Des Moines hospital. The truck driver, a 44-year-old from Houston, Texas, was not injured during
