PHOENIX — An incident in north Phoenix on Friday resulted in a small aircraft flipping upside down on the runway of Deer Valley Airport.
Sky12 footage recorded Friday afternoon shows the Cessna 180 plane sitting on its roof in a section of the airport's runway.
The plane's pilot was able to exit the aircraft and no other occupants were aboard, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
The pilot declined to be taken to the hospital. The fire department said the crash remains under investigation.
Officials said the runway will be closed until a crane can remove the aircraft.
