PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - A man who fled to Georgia last year pleaded guilty Friday in Peoria County court to attempted first degree murder after a bouncer at Big Al’s was shot in the head.
Tywahnn K. Tillman, 37, pleaded guilty for the 2023 shooting in exchange for a possible prison sentence capped at 48 years.
He’ll be sentenced on Dec. 4.
On Oct. 23, 2023, officers were called around 3 a.m. to shots fired inside Big Al’s. The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office said a man, later identified as the bouncer, was discovered with a gunshot wound.
Through surveillance footage and witness statements, it was learned that Tillman had gotten into a fight with the bouncer and had been kicked out of the club.
