Stratford drivers in the Lordship section are having an easier time getting around for the first time in months.
Burma Road (Route 113) near Sikorsky Airport reopened around 11:30 a.m. for the first time since a sinkhole closed it on June 2.

The sinkhole was more than six feet deep and three feet wide, large enough for a car to get stuck or a person to fall through, NBC Connecticut reported at the time .
It was caused by the failure of drainage pipes installed in the 1950s. Years of corrosion from saltwater eventually lead the roadway to collapse, said Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) Chief Engineer Jim Fallon.
