WATERFORD, Conn. (WFSB) — Connecticut residents and businesses are making final preparations as another nor’easter approaches, bringing the threat of high winds and flooding to the shoreline.
The storm is expected to hit Sunday night into Monday.
At Mago Point in Waterford, boats are already secured and hunkered down, ready to weather the approaching storm.
In Mystic, businesses are preparing for potential flooding that has plagued the area during previous storms. Water has been known to fill parking lots, roads and in worst-case scenarios, even inside shops.
“What’s happened in the past for us is water has gotten right up to the door, and it’s a little scary,” said Mark Thomas, Owner, Mystic Nautical Marine Consignment.
