WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- A second suspect in connection with a 2024 shooting in Northwest D.C. was arrested Thursday, the Metropolitan Police Department announced.

19-year-old Zion Greely was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. His arrest comes one week after the arrest of 19-year-old Lorenzo Covington, who faces the same charge.

According to police, on Oct. 14, 2024, at 10 p.m., officers responded to shots fired in the 700 block of N Street NW.

There, officers found evidence of a shooting, but no one was hurt during the incident.
