COUSHATTA, La. — The Red River Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested a man in connection with the stabbing of a LifeShare Blood Center employee during a church service Thursday night. Ethan Kade Anderson, 27, is charged with aggravated second-degree battery. He remains in the Red River Parish Jail awaiting bond to be set. The incident took place just after 6 p.m. at an event called the "Man Church" just off state Highway 507 in the Village of Martin. A blood drive was being hosted in connection with the church service. The blood center employee was stabbed multiple times in an unprovoked attack, the sheriff's office said Friday. Red River Parish EMS took the victim to Christus Coushatta emergency room, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
