TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— People hope it never happens to them, but they must always be ready. Nursing students from Ivy Tech and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College took part in a mock disaster drill. So, they could learn what to do to help and treat people in a mass shooting or terrorist attack.

Michelle Jarvis is a senior nursing student from Ivy Tech, and she knows this type of drill can help her and her fellow classmates in many ways.

"This is going to set us up for what could happen in life and right now you can see so it is going to be a mass shooting, Jarvis said. "We never know when these things are going to happen.
