TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Elementary custodian Randy White and his brother-in-law, Mike Armstrong, are out of surgery and White said they are doing well.

As we previously reported, White's brother-in-law, Mike Armstron,g had been on dialysis for three years and White decided to donate one of his kidneys to Armstrong. This act of kindness was then vocalized to all of the students at Dixie Bee Elementary in Terre Haute.

Here's the update White has given on their surgery. White said the kidney is "working awesome" and said Armstrong is excited to live without continuing dialysis. White also said the doctors told him the kidney started working right away for Armstrong.
