A special weather statement is being issued for the Okanagan Connector from Merritt to Kelowna.

Motorists are being warned of possible snow between 2 and 10 cm on Highway 97C, beginning Saturday afternoon and possibly extending into Thanksgiving Monday.

According to Environment Canada, a cold front moving through the Interior of B.C. will begin to drop temperatures Saturday afternoon. “Rapid cooling over the Interior combined with moisture from an upper-lower moving through Washington is likely to give snow over the high elevation highway passes,” stated Environment Canada.

Drivers are warned that snow may rapidly accumulate on roads and visibility may be reduced, leading to difficult travel conditions.

Road conditions are available at drivebc.ca .
