NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — As part of the "Choose How You Move" plan, Nashville Mayor Freddie O'Connell has pledged more than $23 million to improve service from WeGo buses around town.

Some of Nashville's busiest roadways haven't seen significant upgrades in more than 50 years, but O'Connell has vowed from his first day in office he wanted to improve them, and that includes upgrades to WeGo.

Over $100 million has been invested in Nashville roads and the infrastructure that supports it. The mayor's office said the hope is that everyday life for Nashvillians will continue to get better.

This round of funding for "Choose How You Move" will advance work on both Nolensville and Gallatin pikes, addressing critical north-south and downtown-to-Madison routes.
