COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Over the offseason, Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko hammered the mantra of “Finish” into the program.

On a macro level, it points to a 2024 season, which began with a 7-1 record before slipping at the end of the season for an 8-5 ending.

It is yet to be determined if the Aggies will make good on the 5-0 start to their season in 2025, but on a micro level, they’ve made good on their focus on finishing on the field.

So far, the Aggies are 16 for 17 in the red zone, which ranks 23rd in the nation. Their only failed attempt was a reviewed touchdown run Saturday against Mississippi State where running back Ruben Owens II was ruled down inches short of the goal line.
