BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Job Service North Dakota is feeling the effects of the government shutdown.
According to Job Service North Dakota, about 12 Federal employees applied for unemployment at workforce centers this week. Ten others did the same last week.
More concrete numbers on those filing for unemployment will be available next week.
As far as employees of the Job Service, some are state workers whose salaries are paid for with federal grant funding.
When those funds run out, employees will be moved into other positions until new grants come through.
