NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — It's safe to say business has been booming for Michael Parrella.

The North Providence native is the proud owner of the "My 3 Sons Doughboys" food truck, which he regularly parks outside the Saint Mary's Feast Society off Phenix Avenue in Cranston.

Parrella, who used to cut down trees for a living, has made quite a name for himself when it comes to making these deep-fried delicacies. He fulfilled his lifelong dream of making doughboys full-time last summer.

For Parrella, his food truck is more than just about making "big, fat" doughboys.

"I just wanted something to do to get my mind off things and concentrate on something else," Parrella said.

The food truck pays homage to his three sons — Mikey, Gian and Anthony.
