APPLETON, Wis. (WBAY) - Friends and family members of 26-year-old Casey Sjoberg continue to honor his life with car shows around the area this week.
Casey passed away on October 4th after being hit by an alleged drunk driver at the intersection of North Richmond Street and the I-41 northbound off-ramp.
People we talked to say Casey had a quiet but loving personality and was always laughing and smiling, and was just a good person overall.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, there were over 7,000 crashes involving alcohol or drug impairment across the state in 2023.
Friends of Casey say he was known for his love of cars, even hosting meets for car enthusiasts.
