GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Green Bay Area Public School Board is looking to adjust security measures enacted recently at local schools.
It comes after authorities discovered a student at Preble High School had a loaded gun in his backpack.
One of the new security measures included clear backpacks for middle and high school students. Now, the district is considering a plan to have middle and high school students store their backpacks during the day, in assigned and locked lockers, or in designated storage areas.
The board will consider the proposal at its meeting scheduled for Monday night.
