SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR) -- Students and faculty from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry rallied together in the quad on Friday afternoon as the school's administration works to climb out of a budget hole.

They embraced their school pride, chanting "E-S-F" in unison, as they protested a myriad of financial cuts to staffing and grad programs.

"We are out here because we are facing massive, massive budget cuts that are threatening the quality of our programs," Anna Mauldinheiner, a sophomore, said. "We are seeing less TAs being hired for different programs, we are seeing people struggle to get funding for their research programs, we are seeing a massive decline in what we all came to ESF for."
