KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen ISD's Charles E. Patterson Middle School celebrated a special occasion on Friday, Oct. 10, the 90th birthday of the man whose name the campus bears.

Killeen ISD said students, staff and community members gathered to honor and celebrate the 90th birthday of former Superintendent and principal Dr. Charles E. Patterson.

KISD described Patterson as "a living legacy whose leadership has shaped generations across the community." Patterson served as an educator and leader at KISD for 46 years, including leading both the campus and the district.
