NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) - Thousands of University of Oklahoma Football fans are trekking down I-35 on the annual pilgrimage to Dallas, Texas for the Red River Rivalry. For one graduate of the school, that yearly trip has turned into a seven-decade journey where he hasn't missed a single game, and 2025 won't change that either.
There's well over 100 years of history of games being played at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma. One man in the metro has seen quite a bit of that. You can also bet that OU grad has never missed a trip southbound on I-35 in October to go to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. The game on October 11, 2025 will mark his 70th consecutive time seeing it in person.
