MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — Voters in Milledgeville will decide a mayor's race this fall as incumbent Mary Parham-Copelan seeks a second term against challenger Walter Reynolds, who has served 12 years on the city council.
Both candidates are proud of their different achievements in leadership. Copelan says she is proud of her response during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"It gave me an opportunity to bring some real leadership skills to the table," Copelan said. "I brought Emory University to Milledgeville, Georgia. They did our first COVID testing site."
Reynolds says he enjoyed his community restoration work.
"What I'm most proud of is the work that we did at the Chapel of All Faiths, reopening that space for the community," Reynolds said. "It was a very fulfilling experience for me."
