BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The North Dakota Highway Patrol and other emergency responders hosted an informational meeting about missing persons alerts.
Attendees learned about North Dakota’s various missing persons alerts, like the Feather Alert for Indigenous individuals that was passed in this year’s legislative session. They also learned how to request an alert.
“Now, alerts have to be submitted by a law enforcement officer. However, we recognize and encourage that dispatchers, emergency managers, people who are the support staff to a law enforcement officer investigating one of these cases can help fill these out by all means,” said Lt.
