BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - On Friday afternoon, Marina Spahr was sworn in as the newest South Central District Court Judge at the Burleigh County Courthouse.

She has practiced civil and criminal law for more than three decades, in private and public practice, and most recently served in the State Attorney’s Office.

Spahr will succeed Judge David Reich.

“What drives me most is knowing that the work I do provides something our community truly needs— fairness, understanding of the law and a space where every voice can be heard,” said Spahr.

Judge Spahr served in more than 70 trials and made 20 appearances before the state Supreme Court. She has been serving on the bench since Sept. 15.
