SIOUX LOOKOUT — One of the telecommunications giants that provides cell service for many communities in northern Ontario says it is giving customers notice before it retires its 3G network.

“We have been proactively communicating with the small percentage of customers using our 3G network since last year to help them migrate to an upgraded network experience,” a spokesperson for Rogers told Newswatch in an email.

“We’ve been gradually retiring the network and have been letting our customers know before it happens in their area.”
