BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - A wreck on Highway 90 in Gulfport left a Kiln man in critical condition Tuesday.

Robbie Lawless learned it was a friend and fellow car lover who was hurt. Lawless said he wanted to help his good friend, Gary Danos.

“He’s just a great guy; he will do anything for anybody,” Lawless said.

Lawless was already planning to auction a restored 1986 Chevrolet C30 at the Vicari Auto Auction.

After the wreck, he decided that if the truck went for more than the minimum reserve bid, that money would go to his friend.

“My son works with Gary, and he works with him. They do a lot of car stuff together, that’s one reason, just want to support – he’s a friend of mine as well," he said.
