RUPERT, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — While election day isn’t until November 4, county election offices are already making sure everything runs smoothly.
The Minidoka County Elections Office conducted a Pre-Election Public Logic and Accuracy test for the upcoming election.
This test, which was open to the public, had election officials run test ballots through tabulators to make sure the software was working.
That included running ballots through the machine that are either over or underfilled to ensure the software can catch those errors.
The goal is to get ahead of early voting and make sure there are no errors.
Here are some reminders for the upcoming election:
Early voting in Minidoka County begins October 20 and runs until the 31.
