DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - More than 100 runners will embark Saturday on the first-ever Break the Bank Ultramarathon , a 50-mile race that concludes at a former bank building in Duluth’s Morgan Park neighborhood.
The race will finish at the former Park State Bank, now a residential home that still has its original vault. Each finisher will receive a key to a safety deposit box containing mystery awards and cash prizes, ranging from $2 to $500.
“Even coming in last place, you still have a chance at winning something, walking away with something,” said runner Jennifer Przybilla.
