The West Seneca East football rebuild wasn’t supposed to be this fast. Two years ago, the Trojans were 2-6. Now, the team is 5-0 heading into homecoming.

West Seneca East was 4-5 last season and is now on its first five-game winning streak since 2021. The Trojans are no longer crawling. They’re running.

Coach Jim Maurino, in his 22nd season with the program, planned for a rebuild but admits the current pace is “a year early” for what he envisioned. The foundation for success has been patience with younger players.
