SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) – The Advanced Air Mobility Center is reviving the 1920s speed competition known as the Pulitzer Electric Aircraft Race.
The event organizers plan on bringing modern versions of electric flight innovation from countries across the world, thus reimagining the historic race for the modern era.
The race reinforces Ohio as a key hub for advanced air mobility and celebrates a century of aviation progress.
“The goal is accessibility, sustainability, a more affordable and clearer environment,” said Gloria Boullion, the community integration director. “What we’re seeing this weekend is everyone coming together to make this dream and this vision happen.”
It will continue over Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 11-12, at Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport.
