TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The city is gearing up for potential heavy rainfall. Residents and city officials are taking precautions to mitigate the impact of the expected storms.

The Tucson Department of Transportation is actively monitoring the forecast and preparing for the possibility of heavy rainfall. Crews are on standby, ready to respond.

"We will be prepared with sandbags to protect your property with barricades to close those roadways. Our crews are on standby if we do encounter any damage from the storm," said Erica Frazelle of the Tucson Department of Transportation.
