Former Miami Dolphins safety Reshad Jones has been awarded $9.5 million in a lawsuit settlement with Merrill Lynch after his former financial adviser was accused of stealing $2.59 million from him.
Isaiah Williams, Jones’ former financial adviser and a former Merrill Lynch employee, accessed Jones’ personal accounts to steal $1.56 million in 133 separate transactions from Jan. 2022 to March 2024, according to arrest records.
An additional $1.03 million was stolen from Jones through a laundering scheme that involved bank and cash app transfers between Williams and Octavia Graham of Georgia. Jones told investigators he had never met Graham.
