Church volunteers in Duncan say it could take months of book sales to recover costs from the back-to-back copper wire thefts that occurred this week.

Nancy Miller carried boxes of donations into the Duncan United Church on Friday, for its upcoming fundraising book sale. Hoping to help the church on Ingram Street church to be able to continue offering services like free community meals, and the sponsorship of refugee families.

“They help seniors, they help families, you know they help young moms. They help the community,” said Miller, a Duncan resident.
