SALT LAKE CITY — A crash closed all southbound lanes of Redwood Road at 400 south and caused a small power outage in Salt Lake City on Friday because, according to police, both a bus and a dump truck hit a power line.

Greg Lovell with the Salt Lake City Police Department said a dump truck had pulled the power lines down, and then a Utah Transit Authority bus also hit the lines.

Heather Kelly with the KSL NewsRadio traffic center said the crash happened around 6:25 a.m. on Redwood Road at 400 South, diverting traffic in the area. Any power outages in the area were reportedly fixed by 8 a.m.

No injuries were reported at the scene of the crash, and there were no riders on the UTA bus, according to Lovell.
