LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — As ICE raids continue across the country, here in mid-Michigan, agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement were believed to have been in Meridian Township Thursday.

The Meridian Township Police Department learned Thursday morning that federal agents were conducting an operation, but they do not know what it was, according to Meridian Township Supervisor Scott Hendrickson.

Hendrickson initially told 6 News it was ICE, but later said the agents present were actually with Customs and Border Protection.
