HUNTINGBURG, Ind. (WEVV) —A Jasper man is facing charges related to the possession of child sex abuse material.

Authorities say the investigation started back in September. Detectives with the Huntingburg Police Department and the Dubois County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began the investigation after receiving a Cyber Tip Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

According to police, the cyber tip was generated by Kik and included files depicting child sex abuse material.

An investigation found that the account's user was 19-year-old Eli. J. Lehmkuhler of Jasper uploaded and distributed the files.

Multiple search warrants were executed in Jasper, where numerous electronic devices were seized and will be searched.
