OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Class AAA No. 12 Capital Cougars pulled away in the second half Friday night to hand the Class AAAA No. 10 Oak Hill Red Devils a 27-7 home loss.

The game began as a tight contest, with both teams trading defensive stops early.

However, the Cougars found their stride after halftime, capitalizing on key drives to outscore the Red Devils and secure the win.

Oak Hill drops to 3-3 on the season with the loss, while Capital improves to 4-2 as their playoff hopes continue to strengthen.

The Red Devils will look to bounce back next week when they host the Hurricane Redskins.
