SOUTHINGTON, Conn. — Most people don’t remember what happened in their lives when they were three years old. But for Katherine Brown, of Connecticut , she remembers everything about her fight against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a type of blood cancer.

Twenty years after her last treatment, she’s using her story to give back to kids who are going through the same battle she faced.

“You'd be surprised at what you remember if it's very significant in your life. I remember going to the hospital and the parking garage specifically. I also remember the lobby. It had a really nice fountain. And I do also remember, like, running away from being given chemo and like having the same hiding spot every time,” said Katie Brown, as she recalled her cancer survivor story.
