ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — On Friday, neighbors in the 19th Ward joined together at Loretta Johnson Middle School for one of many "Stop the Bleed" Workshops, which are held across the nation.

In its traditional presentation, "Stop the Bleed" teaches community members what to do if faced with treating an open wound in an emergency situation, such as a motor vehicle accident or a shooting. But, organizers of Rochester's demonstration decided to add an extra element to it which they say is crucial specifically for our community.
