NEW ORLEANS —
Thousands of voters will head to polling locations across New Orleans to cast their ballots this weekend.
"We just want a change, a better economic situation for the city,” said Daniel Lawrence.
Voters are hoping to make their voices heard in this high-profile election.

"We're just hopeful that the right person gets in,” Lawrence said.
There are key items on the ballot, including the next mayor of New Orleans, the Orleans Parish sheriff's race and several city council seats.
"There's been so much chaos at city hall over the past several years, so I think people are interested in determining the fate of our city for the next few years,” said Susannah Burley.
