Solon quarterback Eli Kampman swung the ball out to sophomore Owen Bock, who bolted downfield.

On Solon’s first offensive play of the second quarter, Bock weaved and juked multiple Washington defenders before finding space near the right sideline. With some key blocks downfield, Bock ran in a touchdown from 65 yards out. That score turned out to be the opening haymaker in a barrage of second-quarter strikes that overpowered the Demons.

No. 1 Solon radiated that winning aura the rest of the way, securing a 42-0 district victory over the Demons.

Solon’s six touchdowns propelled it to a 7-0 record for the first time since the 2021 season.

"It just shows how much toughness we have and grit," Bock said. "Each practice, we're just always trying to way to get better and improve ourselves."
