PINE VALLEY, Utah (ABC4) — Areas of Pine Valley, Dammeron Valley, and Hurricane are already seeing the effects of heavy rainfall, with flash flooding closing roads and causing debris flows.
Washington County Emergency Management and local law enforcement confirmed multiple debris flows and flash flooding on several roads in Pine Valley. Road closures are in effect.
One debris flow was reported at 150 feet wide and 6 to 8 inches deep, as measured from peak flows on the Santa Clara River gauge in Pine Valley.
According to Enterprise Mayor Brandon Humphries, roads have been washed out, and homes have flooded in Veyo and Gunlock. Video below shows flooding in Veyo.
