DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - Duluth police are investigating two separate shootings in the city’s Central Hillside neighborhood over the past two days.

The incidents left one man dead and another hospitalized.

The most recent shooting happened early Friday morning on West Third Street and Second Avenue West. Officers were called to the scene around 4:30 a.m. and found a man dead from a gunshot wound. Police have not yet released the victim’s name, and no arrests have been made.

Just 24 hours earlier, another man was shot about a mile away near East Sixth Street. Officers responded around 1 a.m. Thursday and found a 47-year-old man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
