CHEYENNE — City Engineering Department officials are seeking approximately $15 million on the 2026 sixth-penny sales tax ballot to help fund construction of half of the Reed Avenue Corridor project.

The project, which has been in the works since 2018, aims to convert the Reed Avenue right of way in Cheyenne’s West Edge into a public space that would provide safe pedestrian and bicycle access, gathering and event space, and economic development opportunities, according to the city of Cheyenne’s website .

City Engineer Tom Cobb presented information to members of the Cheyenne City Council at a work session Friday.
