HYDEN, Ky. (WYMT) - In week eight of the high school football season Knott Co. Central faced Leslie Co. and won, 32-12.

The Patriots got the scoring going in the first quarter on a Shane Gibson touchdown.

On Knott Co. Central’s next possession, Brycen Everage hurdled an Eagle defender getting into the redzone.

Two plays later, Connor Napier hit Michael Gibson in the endzone, growing the Patriots lead to 14.

The Eagles would cut their deficit to eight points following a punt return by Aiden Carr.

Knott Co. Central will have another road game at 7:30 p.m. against Floyd Central on Oct. 24.

The Eagles head to Prestonsburg on Oct. 17 to take on the undefeated Blackcats at 7:30 p.m.
