BLOOMINGTON ― Everything moved way too quickly in the fourth quarter.
John Bargen found himself in every quarterback's dream situation with 1:27 left and 80 yards between him and a game-winning touchdown right after Bloomington North coach Brett Cooper made the decision to allow Columbus North to score from the 1 to take the lead.
Problem is, the strong-armed Bargen and his receiving corps didn't need that much time. Just six snaps and 43 seconds later, sophomore Blake "Mr. Touchdown" Davis was scoring from 28 yards out in what would be a Bloomington North's 31-28 win on Friday, Oct. 10, at the Cougar Den.
"We work on (two-minute drill) every Thursday," Bargen said. "I think that plays a big part in being successful in two-minute. We've done about three of them so far.
